For over two decades, I had dedicated myself to the company I worked for, a steady source of income and security. But on December 1st, 2022, that security was shattered when a couple of executives from the corporate office arrived with devastating news – job cuts. After 23 years with the same company, I found myself unemployed for the first time in my life. The sudden loss of a job could have been paralyzing, but I was not about to let it define my future.
Turning Adversity into Opportunity:
After a few days of introspection, I decided to take control of my destiny. I realized that it was essential for my family to witness resilience in the face of adversity. Instead of settling for jobs that paid a fraction of my worth, I decided to turn my attention to a new venture – coffee. The prospect of working on something I was passionate about and building our legacy was far more appealing than being at the mercy of another employer.
The Birth of Cresson Mountain Coffee Roasters:
With my family by my side, we began our journey into the world of coffee. We dove headfirst into the intricacies of coffee roasting, sourcing the finest beans, and crafting the perfect blends. Less than a year after launching Cresson Mountain Coffee Roasters, our hard work is starting to pay off. Our coffee, carefully roasted with love and dedication, began to find its way into homes across 21 states in the U. S. Beyond national borders, our coffee graced the tables of households in Canada, New Zealand, and Australia, a testament to the quality of our product.
Collaborations Beyond Imagination:
Our journey with Cresson Mountain Coffee Roasters is continuing. Through our dedication and passion, collaborations with a Nashville recording artist and a renowned journalist with 21 Emmy Awards under her belt are in progress, promising exciting new coffee brands.
